Hope is Needed Everywhere

Today I visited Abhaya, a home run by a poet for the destitute mentally ill. It also houses & educates women & girls who have been terribly abused. We gathering in a hall & the girls danced - then the women & girls sang to me "We Shall Overcome" in Hindi. These are women & girls with so much to overcome. So powerful & humbling. I sang the same song in English. Somethings translate - hope is needed everywhere.
