Positive Action

It's been an exciting autumn already and it's only just begun! There is hope and a new beginning in the crisp fall air. It is a time for hope and a time for positive action. I truly believe that we are not called to fear and the actions that arise from fear, but instead called to hope that arises from love and true compassion.

There is so much negative campaigning and misinformation, I know it is hard to keep our heads and hearts above it. But, I want to report to you that I am seeing so much good spirit everywhere I go and a real and urgent demand for our leaders to become more accountable to the people they are elected to serve. There is movement happening in the political world ... this is expected in an election year ...but there is also a deep movement in the hearts and spirits of people. We are asking the hard questions "Where does peace and true justice begin?" "If I am not at peace within my own spirit then how can I bring peace into the greater world?" "What is my responsibility as a part of the human family and the family of all creation to protect and serve?" "What is my own small but essential part of the process that moves us from fear to hope?" Yes, the outcome of this election is critically important, but the spirit that has been awakened in us is even more powerful. Whatever happens on November 2 there is a movement arising that is based in hope, fueled by love, and not driven by fear. This is no small thing my friends ...this is cause for hard work and rejoicing ...this is cause to take pride and comfort in the best of what we are.
