FolkWax Review: The Geography Of Light

So far
this year, it would appear that I have been unusually magnanimous, having
awarded review perfect "10"s to John
Gorka's The Gypsy Life
CD/DVD, Lee Clayton's Border Affair - The Capitol Years,
Kris Delmhorst's Shotgun Singer, Tift Merritt's Another Country, Krista Detor's Cover Their Eyes, and Carrie Newcomer's The Geography Of Light. I'm discounting
the opening pair in the foregoing list as they featured previously
recorded/released material, while the ensuing quartet are factory fresh
productions. Based on my personal criteria and for varying reasons, all
warranted the score given, with Newcomer and Detor as the cream of the crop.
