Workshop with Carrie Newcomer
This workshop will be held January 21-23. The workshop will begin with dinner on Friday evening, January 21 at 6:00 pm, and will conclude with lunch on Sunday, January 23 at 1:00 pm.
Writing Mindfully: Exploring our Transforming Stories
This workshop focuses on exploring big ideas through the power of small details and personal stories. Participants will explore how the art of paying attention to the small moments and everyday miracles can open our hearts and our art to the presence of the Sacred. We will also explore how our daily personal stories of hope, struggle, and transformation connect us to the spiritual journey and our shared human condition. Carrie will guide us through writing exercises, deep listening, and focused discussion to help us to identify the important stories of our lives and times, and to envision how we as individuals can participate in new stories of hope and possibility.
This workshop is open to women of all ages and all levels of writing experience. Carrie has designed this workshop to facilitate the development of our unique voices, as we discover the power of our own stories, in a very safe, nurturing and encouraging setting.
